Making the Best of Your Universal Studios Tour

When taking your family on a vacation to Universal Studios, there a few ideas that will make your stay a little bit more enjoyable.

1.      To save considerably on food, you will probably want to eat outside the theme park. There are many choices that are more affordable on City Walk, outside the gates of the park.

2.      Dress for hot weather, and with all the walking you will be doing, make sure everyone’s shoes are wore in already. You will also want to bring a change of clothing for everyone. You probably also want to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and even hats to help protect you.

3.      First Aid is found both in the upper lot by Animal Planet Live, as well as at the Jurassic Park Visitors Center in the lower lot.

4.      You will probably want to bring earplugs as some parts of Universal Studios are quite loud.

5.      To best enjoy the tour you want to get their early. Once done with the tours, the park remains open for hours, and you might split up to see more. Be sure to have a meeting time and place set for regrouping.

6.      Universal Studios has a number of services that will make your experience better. One is a VIP pass which will get you to the front of lines. Another is “Will Call” which can help you get tickets reprinted, reservations, and can even assist having your pets taken care of in a kennel. You can find a lot at the Guest Relations booth as well regarding local places to stay. When shopping you will either want to do it at the end of the day, or consider their Package Delivery Service for pickup at the end of the day.

7.      At the various lockers, you can store your valuables and other things you wouldn’t want to carry around while on the tour. You can also find strollers, and wheelchairs from there.

8.      Small children will probably not really like Universal Studio’s Tour, and at the same time will probably make it hard for you to enjoy it as well. You will probably want to leave them with a babysitter. That way there is a lot less worry about kidnapping, or simply losing them.

9.      Universal Studios accept traveler’s checks, as well as credit cards. Though personal checks are not accepted. Be prepared to show ID when using methods that are accepted.

10.  There are 8 areas for smoking, and those are the only places it is allowed in the park. You will want to be sure to use only them, as fines can be quite high for smoking outside them.

11.  There are numerous discount means in planning your Universal Studios Tour. Between looking online and checking with travel agents, you will discover some. In addition, often promotions from bigger products will bring additional discounts. Being a student, senior citizen or young child brings discounts too. One final area is group rates which might apply to families as well.
